What to Know...

Accutane Warning

Usage of retinods (Accutane or similar) whether topically or internally (ingested) can cause damage to the skin during waxing. For your safety and well being, we can not perform waxing services (face nor body) until you have stopped usage for more than a 1 year.

PRE- WAX PREP

  • Make sure that your hair is 1/4- inch long. If you can pinch your hair with your FINGERS and not pinch your skin, you're good to go!

  • Pop a pain reliever 30 to 45 minutes before your appointment. This will make your service a bit more bearable, especially if you feel your pain tolerance is low.

  • Don't wax 5 days before or after your menstrual cycle. If you would still like to come in, please place a clean tampon prior to your service.

  • Work out and shower before you come in. If you chose to do so afterwards, tender skin can chafe!

  • Wear comfortable clothing! Your pores will be open after your wax, and tight clothing can cause irritation.

  • Prepare for some SLOW, deep breaths. breathe in deep and breathe out slow!

  • Remember to relax. The more relaxed you are, the better!

  • Ask any & every question that may come to mind, before & after your appointment! I'm here to help!

AFTER-CARE

First 24- 48 Hours

  • No swimming of any kind. Avoid swimming pools, Jacuzzis, lakes and oceans.

  • No tight clothing. Allow for your skin to breathe after your waxing service.

  • No perfumed soaps/sprays. Scents can cause your skin to be irritable. Also, a lot of products contain alcohol, so you could experience a stinging sensation when using them.

  • NO INTIMACY! Your skin has gone through some slight trauma, and we don't want to cause anymore to it.

  • No sun/spray tanning. Avoid being out in the sun or spray tanning after your service. Sun tanning freshly waxed skin can cause hyperpigmentation. Spray tanning can clog your pores.

After 48 Hours

  • Exfoliate 2-3 times a week. Exfoliating helps to remove dead skin and allows for your hair to grow freely. This minimizes your chances of unsightly ingrown hairs.

  • Keep up with your appointments. For facial and underarm waxes, you will need to maintain a 2-3 week waxing schedule. For body waxing, you will need to maintain a 3-4 week waxing schedule.

  • Use a scent free body lotion or moisturizer to keep your skin and hair looking great! It is important to keep your skin moisturized, even in the winter months, so that you're always getting the best waxing results.
